Senior Telephone Sales Canvasser - Tadcaster York
We are looking for an outstanding telesales person, ideally with a media/newspaper sales background
to develop new and existing business.
Each sales person has their
own database of customers with a mixture of advertisers and potential advertisers. The role also involves cold calling
in order to grow the customer base. The office has free parking available. The hours are 37.5 a week, 9.00 am to 5.30
pm with a 40 minute lunch break, Monday to Friday. There are 20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays.

Business Development Manager (0858)

Business Development Manager Sales - based between York and Malton
Responsibilities:
1. The planning and delivering against business sector team targets for the companies products and services (both internal
and external).
2. The identification, realisation and progression of key strategic business opportunities within the
designated business stream in line with agreed account plans.
3. To maintain regular contact with a range of customer
and prospect organisations and expected wide ranging travel within the UK mainland and potentially overseas when required.
4. To facilitate strong liaison with a range of internal departments and their associated management contact to enable the
direct allocation of internal effort and resource to the required sales goals.
5. To deputise for and represent Directors
as and when required when interfacing with customers, suppliers and the media.
6. The provision of business intelligence
directly to the CEO/Sales Manager and other appropriate Directors when required.
7. Liaison with appropriate business
partners in alignment with business goals.
8. Direct account management of key and strategic customer or partner accounts.
Duties:
To carry out a varied selection of duties including, but not limited to the following:
1. Meet defined
team sales targets as jointly developed with the CEO/Sales Manager.
2. Present fortnightly business progress reports
to the Directors.
3. Present bi-monthly business stream updates and best practice to colleagues and peers.
4. Develop
and strengthen relationships with customers and partners.
5. Supporting product and services sales people and sales activity.
6. Lead the negotiating team as and when required.
7. Pursue and exploit relevant public speaking and presentation
opportunities.
8. Give briefings as appropriate on business development activity for the market sector and the plans
to develop this sector to internal functional teams.
9. Work closely with the Bids & Tenders Manager to support implementation
of Business Development Opportunities.
10. Progress the development of Services Business for high margin sales opportunities
with the Service Delivery Manager.
11. Seek membership of relevant committees and attend when/if appropriate

12. Proactively seek opportunities for further attainment of Business Development goals.
Skills / Experience
Required:
1. Degree level and/or significant B2B sales experience.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Proposal
writing skills.
4. Track record of creativity, innovation and sales target delivery.
5. Capable of public speaking.
6. Account management experience.
