Insurance Claims Handler (0841)
York
£14600 - £18000


Job description 
An opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler in our Customer Service Claims department. Whilst previous claims handling experience would be an advantage it is not essential.
Job Specification Duties will include :
The provision of a first class customer service
Deciding on legal liability and policy liability issues
Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Dealing with all aspects of all classes of claims, excluding personal injury
Intimating and handling claims through to settlement
Handling claims in accordance with laid down quality and service standards
Maintaining paper files and computer records in relation to own claims
Handling incoming written and telephone enquiries from policyholders and the agency network
Personal Specification
A commitment to the importance of good customer care
First class written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work in a team environment
Good organisational skills
The ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality and service standards
Required Qualifications / Other Information
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above including maths and english.
 
Commerical Underwriter Personal Lines (0840)
York 
£16765 - £23000

We now have vacancies within the York Underwriting department for Commercial Underwriters.
Duties will include:
The provision of a first class customer service
Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Implementing the prevailing group underwriting philosophy
Quality control of inbound case submissions and renewal and new business terms offered for Personal lines business
Dealing with written and verbal enquiries from the agency network
Reviewing of existing business
Maintaining paper files and computer records in relation to own cases
Personal Specification:
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate:
A commitment to the importance of good customer care
Have good oral and written communication skills
Computer literacy
Ability to work accurately and quickly
Initiative, enthusiasm and drive
Ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality and service standards
Knowledge and experience of underwriting Personal line products
Required Qualifications / Other Information
Ideally 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above to include Maths and English Language.
Salary  GBP 16765 - 23000 Annum
